Our professionally equipped nursery provides a cheerful and nurturing environment where your child can thrive and grow. All of our personnel have many years of experience and must demonstrate superior character, patience and compassion. We realize that you are trusting us with the most important little person in the world, and we do not take that lightly. Our daily schedule includes indoor and outdoor play, songs, stories and finger plays. We encourage verbalization and socialization. A “daily events” paper is filled out each day to keep you abreast of your child’s activities.
Social & Emotional Development
Our priority is to help children make a happy adjustment in our learning center. Many opportunities are provided daily to work and play cooperatively in a group, as well as individually. Manners and good citizenship are encouraged.
Christian Education
Basic Christian beliefs and values are taught through the use of bible stories and songs. We take many opportunities throughout the day to praise and reinforce good moral choices, and also to communicate to the children that they are a special and precious gifts from God.
Reading and Math Readiness
In the two and three year old classes, the alphabet, colors, and numbers are taught through stories, songs and art activities. The four and five year olds are introduced to the phonics (sounds and letters) and correct letter formation through the use of the ABEKA curriculum.
Language and Development
Creative expression and story telling are encouraged, along with "show and tell" group discussions.
Sensor Motor Development
Through outdoor play and indoor games, children learn to coordinate body movement and large muscle control. Our playgrounds are separated and supplied with age appropriate equipment that help to develop and balance motor skills. A small muscle control occurs through frequent use of play dough, finger paints, puzzles, blocks and cut-and-paste activities.
Fine Arts
Free form drawing, coloring, painting and other various art media allow children to express themselves creatively. Music consists of singing in small and large groups, experimenting with rhythm instruments and creative movement exercises.
